Job description

Who We Are:

The Honey Pot was born out of one woman’s need to naturally heal herself. And evolved into a mission to clean up the feminine care aisle. Our mission is to educate, support, and provide humans with vaginas around the world, the tools and resources that promote health and wellness; by engaging these humans one healthy honey pot at a time. Through our functional plant derived feminine care system, our goal is to provide humans with a safe and alternative to feminine care that is powered by herbs.

Company Mission:

We serve humanity through community connections, transparent education, and safe, plant-derived products that work.

The People Operations & Employee Experience Lead is responsible for building and managing the people processes, systems, and employee experiences that support Honey Pot Company as it grows. This role owns employee lifecycle operations, onboarding and offboarding, People systems and records, benefits and payroll support, routine leave administration, recurring People programs, reporting, and operational compliance.

Reporting to the Head of HR, this person will partner closely with the Sr. Manager, Talent & Workforce Strategy to translate talent, performance, and learning priorities into consistent and scalable processes.

What You’ll Do:

People Operations & Employee Lifecycle - 30%

  • Own and continuously improve employee lifecycle processes from accepted offer through offboarding.

  • Manage employee changes, documentation, records, policies, and People-process service standards.

  • Provide timely guidance on routine employee and manager questions, escalating sensitive or complex matters to the Head of HR.

  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and 30-, 60-, and 90-day employee-experience processes.

Benefits, Leave, Payroll & Compliance Operations - 25%

  • Manage benefits administration, employee support, vendor coordination, annual enrollment, and retirement-plan processes.

  • Coordinate the People-side payroll process, employee changes, and resolution of routine pay questions.

  • Administer routine leave and return-to-work processes, maintain communication and documentation, and escalated complex leave or accommodation matters to the Head of People & Culture.

  • Maintain compliant employee files, required notices, policy acknowledgments, and recurring employment documentation.

  • Support audits and compliance reviews by ensuring records and operating practices are accurate and current.

Employee Experience and People Program Operations - 25%

Own the operating approach for employee engagement, recognition, culture programs, and key moments across the employee experience.

  • Manage engagement surveys, employee listening processes, action-plan tracking, and recurring employee-experience reporting.

  • Oversee the employee-experience framework for All Hands, culture moments, and company events while the Business Coordinator manages logistics and execution.

  • Partner with the Sr. Manager, Talent & Workforce Strategy & Head of People & Culture to administer performance, learning, onboarding, and manager-development programs.

  • Ensure workplace and employee programs consistently reflect THP culture and experience standards.

People Systems, Insights & Continuous Improvement - 20%

  • Monitor employment-law changes and help translate requirements into practical policies and processes.

  • Support the development, review, and consistent application of HR policies and practices.

  • Partner with the Head of HR and legal counsel on compliance priorities, policy updates, and manager education.

  • Serve as a trusted People partner to leaders, balancing employee experience, business needs, and compliance.

Who You Are:

  • A people-centered operator who combines empathy and sound judgment with strong process discipline.

  • A trusted and discreet partner who communicates clearly, follows through, and handles sensitive information with care.

  • A systems thinker who can move between employee support, program management, data, and operational details.

  • A collaborative leader who creates clarity, strengthens accountability, and remains effective as priorities evolve.

What You Need:

  • 5 years of progressive experience in People Operations, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience administering HRIS platforms, employee records, and recurring People processes.

  • Working knowledge of benefits, payroll coordination, leave administration, and employment compliance.

  • Experience building onboarding, offboarding, engagement, or employee-experience programs.

  • Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across employees and leaders.

  • Sound judgment, discretion, and a consistent commitment to confidentiality.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience;

  • Experience in a growing consumer brand, CPG company, or similarly fast-paced environment preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning and improving technology-enabled workflows.
