LemFi in New York is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to keep global people processes running smoothly and ensure compliance across markets.

In this hands-on, fast-moving role you'll build scalable processes, manage onboarding and offboarding, maintain HRIS data, and enable self-serve support for employees while collaborating with managers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in people operations or HR generalist roles, ideally across multiple countries.
• Comfortable with fast-paced, changing environments and juggling multiple workstreams.
• Experience improving or automating processes for scale.
• Proficient with modern HRIS platforms and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding, offboarding, contracts, probation, background checks, and leave management.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity, run audits, and build workflows to scale.
• Manage benefits enrolment, changes, and employee queries.
• Own AI HR bot content and explore new AI tools to support the people function.
• Be the go-to for employee questions and manage Jira tickets.
• Support People projects, including an upcoming HRIS implementation.
• Produce reporting to give the business visibility into what's working.

About the role

As People Operations Coordinator, you'll be the backbone of global people operations - the person who keeps core processes running smoothly, is the go-to for employee questions and ensures we stay compliant across every market we operate in.

This is a broad, hands-on role in a global, fast-changing business. You'll be building and running processes designed to scale as we grow, not just maintaining what already exists, and you'll need to be comfortable with pace, ambiguity, and having your attention split across a lot of moving parts at once.

What you'll build and own

• Core operations: Own core people operations processes including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, probation management, background checks, right-to-work, and leave and absence management.
• HRIS data: Own our HRIS data integrity, maintain accurate records, run audits, build out workflows and automations that reduce manual data entry and admin as we scale.
• Benefits administration: Manage enrolment, changes, and employee queries across benefits programmes.
• AI integration: Own and maintain content for our AI HR bot so employees get fast, accurate self-serve answers, and act as our champion for identifying new ways AI tools can support the people function.
• Employee and first-line manager support: Be the go-to for employee questions, manage our jira ticketing system
• Ad-adhoc projects: Support on People related projects, there's a new HRIS implementation coming (amongst many other initiatives)!
• People metrics and reporting: Produce reporting that gives the business visibility into what's working and what needs attention.

Your experience

• 2+ years in a people operations or HR generalist roles, ideally spanning multiple countries
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, juggling multiple workstreams at once
• Experience improving or automating a process, with an eye toward building for scale
• Proficiency with modern HRIS platforms and comfort maintaining accurate, structured data

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-growth, multi-country startup environment
• Experience supporting an HRIS implementation or migration
