Gusto is recruiting an HR Consultant to drive people operations for designated small business clients. You will apply your passion for refining processes, leverage technology to improve efficiency, and serve as the primary contact for client teams.

The role requires 4-8 years of HR experience, stellar communication, and comfort with modern HR tools. The office footprint includes Denver, San Francisco, and New York, with hybrid expectations depending on role.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of HR experience as a People Operations Specialist and/or HR Generalist.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels.
• Proficiency with modern workplace technology and quick adoption of new tools.
• Experience with HR software, Google Suite, and productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organizations you support to achieve People objectives, including attracting, hiring and onboarding great talent.
• Influence business and talent initiatives to support short and long-term goals.
• Coach leadership on performance, feedback, and engagement.
• Plan workforce strategies, identify gaps, and drive succession planning.
• Translate business needs into comprehensive People Plans.
• Provide organization development support and change management.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned clients.
• Manage HR data, onboarding/offboarding, payroll assistance, benefits, and compliance.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
