Job summary

Lakefield Veterinary Group seeks a Director, People & Culture to lead People Operations, Employee Relations, Benefits, and regional HR business partnering. You’ll partner with hospital leaders to scale programs while preserving our culture and delivering consistent, practical people solutions.

Based in Kent, WA, this hybrid role requires 3 days on-site, strong leadership, and proven experience guiding multi-state HR operations in healthcare or service settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Organizational Development or related field.
• 10+ years HR experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years leading Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, People Operations, Benefits, Compensation, or Total Rewards.
• Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed workforces.
• Experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
• Experience with HR programs in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead People Operations, payroll, HR systems, policies, and lifecycle processes.
• Partner with Payroll/Finance to ensure accurate payroll and data integrity.
• Collaborate with Chief People Officer to identify workforce needs and practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws while balancing business needs.
• Scale regional HR partnerships across hospitals and regions.
• Promote culture, values, and field engagement across locations.
