Zuma is seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the United States. You will assist with HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations, ensuring policy compliance across our global restaurant network.

As part of the People & Culture team, you will manage onboarding, background checks, and HRIS processes while maintaining confidential records. The role offers growth through world-class training and international opportunities within the Azumi

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in human resources or related administrative role, restaurant/hospitality experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Passion for HR and supporting employees and the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the People & Culture team in all aspects of human resources administration, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
• Facilitate onboarding for new hires with information and resources for a smooth transition.
• Initiate background checks and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain employee records and databases with confidentiality and compliance.
• Process employee changes in HRIS: promotions, transfers, terminations, status changes.
• Assist with development and implementation of People & Culture policies and procedures.
• Coordinate employee training and development programs, track attendance and records.
• Respond to employee inquiries and escalate complex issues to management.

The People & Culture Coordinator supports the People & Culture team by assisting with various aspects of human resources administration. This includes recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, and People & Culture policy compliance. The People & Culture Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of People & Culture processes and provides valuable support to employees across the organization.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Support the People & Culture team in all aspects of human resources administration, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, providing them with necessary information and resources to ensure a smooth transition into the organization
• Initiate background checks for new hires and follow up to ensure timely completion
• Maintain employee records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
• Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers, terminations, and changes to employment status, in HRIS systems
• Assist with the development and implementation of People & Culture policies, procedures, and initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
• Coordinate employee training and development programs, including scheduling training sessions, tracking attendance, and maintaining training records
• Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on People & Culture-related matters, escalating complex issues to People & Culture management as necessary
• Maintain clear communication with department managers to provide updates on People & Culture matters and ensure alignment with organizational goals
