Job summary

Cub Pharmacy in Shorewood, MN is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide prompt, efficient customer service and manage pharmacy operations. You will ensure accurate prescription dispensing, offer professional consultation, and supervise technicians in compliance with state and federal law.

The role requires a Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD), active license, NAPLEX/MPJE, immunizer certification, and ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a college degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
• Must pass the NAPLEX.
• Must pass the State MPJE.
• Must hold a valid state license.
• Meets all requirements of and maintains status as a Certified Immunizer.
• Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
• Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs (HIPAA, CDR, I-pledge, etc.).
• Ability to do simple addition, subtraction, copying figures, counting, and recording.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Possess the ability to understand and follow written, verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
• Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with color vision, depth perception and field of vision.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

• Assists customers by escorting them to products and making OTC recommendations.
• Takes steps to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Offers advice and professional consultation in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Endorses and participates in clinical program offerings.
• Responds to telephone requests requiring pharmacist expertise.
• Communicates with peers, subordinates, managers, physicians, and customers professionally.
• Ensures timely implementation of company policies and compliance with regulations.
• Maintains all state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.
• Follows laws and procedures regarding Medicare/Medicaid and third-party audits.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and dispensing of OTC drugs by law.
• Accesses pharmacy computer for patient records and verifies third-party plan parameters.
• Orders product from distribution center as necessary.
• Trains pharmacy technicians and oversees licensure requirements.
• Maintains inventory levels and RX return processes.
• Bags products and attaches receipts; applies company stickers to unbagged items.
• Operates drive-thru if applicable.
• Adheres to DAS and personal hygiene standards.
• Reports to work on schedule.
