Job description

About the Team

This individual will be a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Leaders of the DoorDash Labs Engineering and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in ambiguity, lead with influence, and deliver high-impact solutions across performance, organizational design, talent planning, DEI, and leadership development.

About the Role

As a member of our team, you'll partner closely with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to drive meaningful business outcomes through thoughtful collaboration, clear communication, and strong execution. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment with weekly team syncs, regular asynchronous communication via Slack, and flexible working hours that prioritize core collaboration.. Our team values intentional, inclusive meetings where decisions are documented and shared transparently, and we foster connection through monthly virtual coffee chats and team offsites. Success in this role will be measured by the impact you have on both the business and the employee experience. You'll help drive strong leadership partnership, healthy organizational outcomes, and effective talent practices, with success reflected in partner satisfaction, employee engagement, talent planning and succession readiness, organizational health assessments, and the successful execution of performance and compensation cycles. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how teams grow, perform, and scale as DoorDash continues to evolve. This role is part of our broader People organization, helping build exceptional teams and enabling DoorDash to empower local economies around the world.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
  • Partner with senior executives in DoorDash Labs to translate business goals into effective people strategies and org design.
  • Co lead the strategic workforce planning process across both functions, identifying future capability needs and succession plans.
  • Drive talent development programs tailored to a globally distributed and hybrid workforce.
  • Provide counsel on sensitive employee relations, change management, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Partner with People CoEs (Talent, Total Rewards, L&D) to roll out enterprise-wide initiatives with local relevance.
  • Leverage people data to influence decisions, drive accountability, and create action plans for business leaders.
  • Support M&A integration and change management efforts as the business evolves.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, innovation, and resilience through thoughtful coaching and leadership enablement.
We're excited about you because...
  • 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a business partner role supporting corporate functions.
  • Global HR experience, particularly in multi-region orgs with a distributed workforce, that skews hourly.
  • Proven track record of advising senior leaders and managing complexity at scale.
  • Strong analytical mindset; experience using HRIS (Workday preferred) and people analytics.
  • Inclusive leader who demonstrates humility, courage, and high EQ.
  • Strong project management skills and experience driving programs from ideation through execution.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certification in HR or Organizational Psychology a plus.
  • Practical experience managing, supporting, or scaling people operations for large, hourly workforces, ideally in a fast-paced or logistics-heavy environment; this expertise is vital for effectively supporting the unique operational needs of the Labs team.
