Job summary

Key Risk, a Berkley company, is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support underwriting and operations through data analysis and reporting. You will work with large Excel datasets from vendors, insureds, and internal systems to ensure data accuracy and drive process improvements.

Preferred background includes insurance data experience, Power BI, SQL, and data analytics certifications. This role requires 5-10% travel to vendors and home office locations throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field or equivalent experience in data fields.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, and data modeling.
• Experience reconciling large datasets and delivering accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile large datasets between vendors, insureds, and internal systems, investigating and resolving variances.
• Analyze payroll, premium, claims, and operational data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports using Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
• Create dashboards and performance metrics for underwriting, operations, and executive leadership.
• Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
• Partner with underwriting, actuarial, finance, and operations teams to improve data quality and reporting processes.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
• Document reporting procedures and data validation controls.
