Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer to support ETM activities at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and on-site work with no telecommuting allowed.

The candidate will design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring security and reliability. Experience with Aruba networks and routing protocols is essential, with a path toward Aruba certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• IAT Level II certification required.
• One of the following Networking Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP, Aruba.
• Willing to obtain Aruba certification within 90 days of employment.
• 5+ years of experience in network administration/engineering.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans, and builds communications networks.
• Configures routers, switches, and firewalls for LAN/WAN and VPN concentrators.
• Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and enhancements.
• Monitors the network with industry-leading technologies.
• Provides engineering solutions and plans for enhancements.
• Maintains network integrity and backup/recovery capability.
• Guides less-experienced network personnel.
