Position Overview

As an Equipment Operator, you will ensure roadway safety, especially during winter snow plowing, and work on various construction projects. Your duties include operating heavy machinery, performing minor repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and keeping detailed logs. Your efforts directly improve infrastructure and public safety, providing a rewarding sense of community contribution.

Work Schedule and Details

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Travel, overtime, and shift work required; hours may vary seasonally.
• No telework option.
• Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in some cases.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program, or graduation from a CDL training school, or an equivalent experience.
• Valid Pennsylvania Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Restriction removed.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate per FMCSA regulations.

Conditions of Employment

• Must obtain certification from PennDOT for heavy trucks and additional equipment within probation.
• Subject to drug and alcohol testing per federal regulations.
