Job Summary

TestPros is looking for an experienced Penetration Tester professional to support our IT Security consulting work for various Commercial and Federal consulting services projects.

This role is responsible for the successful delivery of penetration testing in both classic hosted and cloud-hosted environments. The candidate will work with client product teams to plan, execute, and report on penetration testing results. The role requires a focus on delivery and efficiency, managing all aspects of consulting projects including requirements analysis, proposals, resource planning, process improvement, and customer relations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment emphasizing personal responsibility and open, respectful communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests, report results, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality consulting services.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Estimate time and costs accurately for projects.
• Promote continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
• Collaborate with development, product, and customer success teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop, review, and approve statements of work, change requests, and proposals.
• Create reports and documentation to track progress.
• Collaborate effectively with peers and leadership to meet objectives.
• Address questions regarding IT Security requirements from developers, designers, and content contributors.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in penetration testing.
• Desired certifications include Security+, CEH, GPEN, OSCP, AWS, or equivalent.
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and industry best practices for penetration testing.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies such as OSSTMM, OWASP, PTES, FedRAMP, NIST.
• Proficiency with command line interfaces of Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, C/C++.
• Experience with tools such as Metasploit, Nikto, SQLMAP, Responder, Nessus, Netcat, Burp Suite.
• Ability to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of web applications and networks.
• Understanding of risk mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
