Overview

The Pen Test Vulnerability Analyst candidate will support a rigorous testing schedule in collaboration with third-party Penetration Testers to meet customer requirements. The candidate will manage penetration test events and lead remediation efforts for all test findings, working alongside diverse internal IT teams. The ideal candidate will build relationships within the team to maintain a strong security posture in line with industry standards.

Required Skills
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and privacy principles
  • Awareness of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Familiarity with application vulnerabilities
  • Experience with Web Application and API vulnerability scanning
  • Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key management
  • Understanding of network access, identity, and access management (e.g., PKI, OAuth, OpenID, SAML, SPML)
  • Knowledge of network traffic flow (e.g., TCP/IP, OSI model)
  • Awareness of system and application security threats (e.g., buffer overflows, XSS, SQL injection, race conditions)
  • Skills in system and network hardening techniques
  • Knowledge of ethical hacking principles and penetration testing tools and techniques
  • Understanding of application security risks (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field

3-5 years of security or information security experience, with the ability to work in a 24/7 environment

At least 2 years conducting IT compliance assessments (e.g., PCI)

Minimum 1 year experience in penetration testing

Knowledge of security concepts related to infrastructure, networks, applications, and systems

Certifications such as GIAC or EC-Council Ethical Hacking preferred; CISSP or related certifications are a plus.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual salary ranges from $108,500 to $130,800, depending on candidate qualifications and location. TNS offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, life insurance, paid holidays and vacations, and a 401(k) plan with company matching.
