Job summary

Foremost Buildings, Inc. in Jefferson, WI is seeking a PEMB/Structural Detailer. You will read structural and architectural drawings to produce shop, fabrication, and erection drawings for pre-engineered metal buildings, coordinating with engineering and field teams.

Qualifications

• Experience reading structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand structural and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise shop, assembly, fabrication, and erection drawings for PEMB projects.
• Interpret architectural, structural, engineering drawings and specifications.
• Review drawings and modify them to meet detailing and fabrication standards.
• Detail and coordinate PEMB components including framing, purlins, bracing, openings, trims, and accessories.
• Develop accurate dimensions, material information, connections, and fabrication details.
• Prepare and review material lists, cut lists, and bills of materials.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, fit, and constructability before fabrication release.
• Identify discrepancies and potential fabrication or erection issues.
• Make revisions based on changes, redlines, or field conditions.
• Coordinate with engineers, PMs, estimators, fabricators, and erection crews.
• Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions.
• Provide drawing clarification and support to fabrication and field personnel.
• Meet project schedules and deadlines.
• Assist with takeoffs, estimating, and related tasks.
