We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Physical Therapist within the specialized practice of Pelvic Health. Our physical therapists provide expert care for women, men, and children dealing with pelvic pain, urinary/fecal incontinence, trauma, constipation, pregnancy, and postpartum issues. Opportunities include diverse caseloads in Pelvic Floor/Women’s Health, Orthopedic/Musculoskeletal, and Oncology.

Job Summary

Summary

Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adapting to disabilities. Restore patient physical functioning by interpreting evaluations and test results, setting treatment goals, administering manual exercises, and guiding patients in physical activities and the use of supportive devices.

Essential Functions
  • Complete billing sheets accurately by the end of each day.
  • Evaluate treatment effects at various stages and adjust treatments for maximum benefit.
  • Perform patient assessments and develop care plans.
  • Provide in-service education for nursing staff as needed.
  • Document goals, progress, and plans for reevaluation.
  • Discuss evaluations, goals, and treatment plans with patients and families.
  • Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement processes.
  • Supervise PTAs according to policy and regulations.
Qualifications

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy required. No experience in lieu of degree accepted.

Licenses and Credentials

State License as a Physical Therapist required. Class D Driver's License preferred.

Experience

Internship or apprenticeship experience, 1-2 years preferred.

  • Medical terminology knowledge.

  • Familiarity with EMR systems.
  • Effective written communication.
  • Teaching ability.
  • Strong problem-solving and case management skills.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification standards.
Additional Job Details

Seeking experienced Pelvic Physical Therapist with knowledge of Female and Male Pelvic Therapy. ABPTS Certification and coursework with APTA Women’s Health and Herman & Wallace preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and manipulation.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and other physical activities as listed.
Work Environment

Onsite at 159 Wells Avenue. 40 hours per week, day shift. Regular employee status.
