  • Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
  • Physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.
  • They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health.
  • Their patients include anyone who suffers from physical limitation.
  • Therapists examine patients’ medical histories and then test and measure the patients’ strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.
  • They develop appropriate treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1 year’s experience required (this requirement will be waived with a strong recommendation from an acute care or outpatient clinical affiliation).
  • Current valid NJ State Physical Therapy license.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Physical Therapy.
  • 2 years’ experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health records a plus.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
