CommonSpirit Health is seeking a dedicated Pelvic Health Physical Therapist in Omaha to provide individualized treatment for pelvic floor dysfunctions. This role emphasizes outpatient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and commitment to community outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing patient lives.
The Pelvic Health Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients experiencing pelvic floor dysfunctions and related musculoskeletal conditions. This role primarily focuses on outpatient care, providing evidence-based treatments to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team and educates patients on self-management and preventative strategies.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pelvic floor function, including assessments of musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and functional limitations.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for conditions such as urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, pregnancy/postpartum issues, and sexual dysfunction.
Utilize manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercises, biofeedback, and other modalities as appropriate.
Document all patient interactions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.
Educate patients on pelvic health anatomy, posture, body mechanics, and home exercise programs.
Collaborate with referring providers and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain current knowledge of pelvic health practices through continuing education and certifications.
Contribute to program development, community outreach, and patient education initiatives related to pelvic health and rehabilitation.
Required Licensure and Certification: Active physical therapy license in Nebraska. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
