Looking to join a five-time US Best Managed Company Award Winner? KENT Nutrition Group/Blue Seal, a member of the KENT Corporation family, has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Pellet Mill Operator in Marshall, MO! This role will operate the pellet mills in a safe, proficient, and efficient manner necessary for optimum production and quality that meets company specifications. This is an hourly position with a complete benefits package. Hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

This position is based in Marshall, MO.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Understand the process of feed manufacturing, including the flow of ingredients.
2. Follow feed formulation requirements and quality assurance testing specified by Quality Control.
3. Recognize and communicate quality issues to Quality Control.
4. Keep feed inventory current and accurate.
5. Complete operating and production documentation.
6. Perform daily maintenance on pellet mill equipment (clean, grease, etc.) and record on log reports.
7. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping to ensure equipment is in proper working condition for continual mill operation.
8. Assist with repairs and maintenance as needed and report problems to the supervisor.
9. Follow company safety practices and comply with OSHA standards.
10. Follow feed mill Standard Operating Procedures.
11. Operate multiple pieces of equipment within the plant.
12. Assist in all feed and mill duties as requested by shift foreman, including safety, customer service, production, maintenance, and housekeeping.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by plant management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old to work in the plant.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Sufficient math skills for documentation.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Ability to cooperate with co-workers.
• Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge of FSMA.

EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience in feed or production-related work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height.
• Ability to work safely in a dust environment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasonal weather conditions.
