Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Lansing, IL is seeking a Packaging/Pelbo Department lead to assist the shift supervisor and help run the line safely and efficiently. You will train processing personnel, coordinate line readiness, and supervise operators to ensure on-time, quality outputs in a fast-paced environment at our Lansing plant.

Qualifications

• Previous food production experience preferred.
• Prior supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training of processing and production personnel in the assigned department.
• Help maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety, GMP, HACCP, SOP and SSOP guidelines.
• Ensure sanitation standards and regulatory compliance in the facility.
• Provide direction to packaging operators and utility staff to organize time effectively during setup and run time.
• Coordinate with processors on line readiness, product type, and line sterilization to meet production requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, including temperature charts and downtime, for USDA compliance.
• Communicate with shift teams to transfer information accurately during handoffs.
