Genesis10 is seeking an PEGA Software Engineer. This is a 6 to 12-month contract role with a manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions using PEGA Platform and related technologies
- Contribute to the architecture and development of scalable microservices, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Actively participate in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and consistent software delivery
- Embrace DevOps culture, collaborating closely with operations teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence of applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, and other engineers to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver user-centric solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering and cloud computing
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in PEGA Platform development (Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or higher preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with specific PEGA industry solutions/frameworks
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and practices (e.g., TDD, BDD).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
