Qualifications

• PEGA Senior Systems Architect Certification is required.

• Strong knowledge of design, case design, data modeling, business rules, UX, reporting, integration, architecture, security.

Job Summary

The NJAOC App Tech Specialist is a PEGA Certified Senior Systems Architect responsible for analyzing, designing, recommending, and implementing changes to information systems. This role requires collaboration with the Information Technology Office to develop technical solutions that meet business and system requirements, with a strong focus on PEGA application development and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify PEGA programs and applications.
• Perform unit testing and support system testing with business analysts and users.
• Create and maintain technical documentation supporting developed solutions.
• Translate business requirements into system requirements.
• Implement complex case management and build high-quality user experiences.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate PEGA solutions with customer technology tools.

Required Skills & Certifications

• PEGA Senior Systems Architect Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience post SSA certification in object-oriented software development phases including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support.
• At least 3 years of experience developing solutions utilizing PEGA.
• Strong knowledge of application design, case design, data modeling, automating business rules and policies, user experience, reporting, integration, architecture, administration, and security.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Experience with WebSphere or WebLogic application servers (6 years desired).
• Proficiency in J2EE technologies including JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, and Java (6 years desired).
• Experience with MS/SQL or DB2 databases (6 years desired).
• Expertise in PEGA administration and security (6 years desired).

Special Considerations

• Absences greater than two weeks require prior approval and must provide contact information.
• Fingerprinting and full state and federal background checks are mandatory.
• Compliance with client's right to dismiss if absence policies are violated.

Scheduling

• Position requires in-person work at 25 Market Street, Trenton, NJ.
• One hour unpaid lunch break daily.
• Contract period from August 16, 2026, to November 21, 2026.
