About the role

We’re looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Pega Business Analyst to join our team and lead the delivery of impactful Business Process Management (BPM) solutions using the Pega platform. This role is pivotal in connecting business needs with technical execution—translating complex requirements into streamlined, scalable workflows that drive operational excellence.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate requirements for Pega-based BPM initiatives
  • Convert business objectives into detailed functional specifications, use cases, and process models
  • Collaborate with Pega architects and developers to ensure solutions align with both technical standards and business goals
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and test cases

What you need to have to be considered

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Pega BPM projects
  • Deep understanding of Pega platform components (e.g., case lifecycle, data pages, decision rules, SLAs, UI rules)
  • Proficiency with Agile frameworks and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Exceptional ability to craft clear, concise user stories and functional documentation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams

These will help you stand out

  • Pega Certified Business Architect (PCBA)
  • Experience in the healthcare domain
  • Familiarity with third-party system integrations (APIs, REST/SOAP)
  • Understanding of data modeling and Pega decisioning strategies

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 – 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
