About the work
Catalyte is delivering a live, instructor-led Pega Senior System Architect training program for developers and engineers at a federal agency. Participants come out able to design, build, integrate, secure, test and deploy Pega case-management applications, and ready to sit the Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) exam.
The program is built around doing the work. Participants learn by building realistic case-management applications in their own Pega environments, and their progress is measured from what they build.
We're looking for an experienced Pega architect to bring real-world expertise to that hands-on work. You'll work with our instructors, our curriculum team and our assessment team.
What you'll do
- Design hands-on activities and projects. Turn Pega concepts and best practices into realistic labs, exercises and team projects that build skills step by step and reflect how Pega applications are actually built and maintained.
- Build reference solutions. Create the working applications, starting points and solutions that activities and projects need.
- Help build automated assessments. Work with the assessment team to define what good Pega work looks like, and how to check it automatically from a participant's exported application, tests and pipeline results. That includes rubrics that reward Pega best practice (declarative rules, guardrail compliance, reuse, testing), not just whether something runs.
- Review content for technical accuracy. Check learning materials, rubrics and practice exam questions against current Pega versions and practices.
- Test before delivery. Run activities end to end in the training environment before participants see them, and fix what breaks.
- Advise on the training environment. Help set up, reset and export from participant Pega environments.
What you bring
Required
- 5+ years building Pega case-management applications in production
- Strong command of Pega application design: case types, the data model, class structure and reuse, rule resolution, and background processing
- Hands‑on experience with Constellation, and working knowledge of the older Cosmos UI
- Experience with integrations, security, and performance diagnosis in Pega
- Experience with Pega's application lifecycle tools: branches, PegaUnit, Deployment Manager, and guardrail compliance
- Experience setting up and administering Pega environments, including importing and exporting applications
- You write clearly. Your instructions are ones another person can follow without you in the room.
Preferred
- Hands‑on with Pega GenAI, Knowledge Buddy and Blueprint
- Experience with Pega Cloud for Government, FedRAMP environments, or federal case-management programs
- Experience creating training, labs or certification-prep material, or mentoring junior Pega developers
- Experience with automated testing or code-quality tooling
- Eligible for, or holding, a federal Public Trust background investigation
