Lao Family Community Development, Inc. in San Pablo, CA seeks a Workshop Facilitator to provide trauma-informed, peer-based mentoring and financial coaching for justice-involved clients. You will deliver both one-on-one and group sessions, using CBT methods to support behavior change and financial literacy.

A strong emphasis is placed on dignity, inclusion, and client empowerment. The role requires facilitating workshops, collaborating with case managers, and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years peer coaching experience in serving justice-involved, homeless, and low-income populations.
• Lived experience with justice involvement preferred.
• Familiarity with CBT curricula and trauma-informed practices.
• Bilingual in English and another language preferred.
• Reliable transportation to meet with landlords and clients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-judgmental, peer-based support to clients transitioning from incarceration or justice involvement.
• Conduct daily workshops and provide coaching with a bi-weekly schedule and regular one-on-one check-ins.
• Facilitate sessions in-person and virtually; share lived experience to build rapport.
• Assist clients with housing, employment, and health-related barriers; track progress.
• Document financial milestones and provide case management or team progress reports.
• Collaborate with supervisor, case managers, and housing specialists to align support strategies.
