Pathways Inc. - Kentucky is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide community-based, on-scene social and emotional support and advocacy for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. You will work with a treatment team to support recovery and wellness goals.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and Peer Support Certification RADPSS/MH PSS certification. This is a full-time position located in Ashland, Kentucky.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification in Peer Support RADPSS/MH PSS is required.
• Experience in crisis or residential settings preferred.

Salary - $32,500 - $35,000

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Peer Support Specialist will provide community based, on-scene social and emotional support, advocacy and consumer information to (individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis). These activities are planned and implemented through a partnership between the participant and the treatment team members. These activities are provided to support individuals to live their own lives and to direct their own recovery and wellness process.

Experience Required:

A self-identified consumer of Mental health Services diagnosed with a mental illness or substance abuse disorder; attend Peer Support Training; have an understanding of the recovery process and how to use that process to help others. History of working crisis or residential Preferred.
