Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and one year of related work experience in a supportive informational role.
• Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.
• Valid NC Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Connect with overdose survivors within 24–72 hours of the overdose incident; follow up at 30/60/90 days with team.
• Provide harm reduction education, outreach and Naloxone administration training.
• Promote wellness management strategies and deliver therapeutic interventions.
• Coordinate and facilitate harm reduction peer support groups bi-monthly.
• Assist clients by locating resources and guiding follow-through with proposed resolutions.
• Model coping and self-help techniques to individuals or groups.
• Maintain records and submit documentation accurately and on time.
