Job summary

Basecampmed in Columbus, OH seeks a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join the Housing team. You will provide individualized guidance to residents with mental health or substance use recovery needs, working with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and housing stability.

Responsibilities include weekly meetings with PLUS Housing residents, developing recovery plans, advocating for patient rights, and connecting clients to community resources while engaging in staff training and agency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (Adult) required.
• Familiarity with Franklin County resources is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, ongoing guidance, coaching and support.
• Meet with PLUS Housing residents weekly to review recovery plans and document progress.
• Provide training in the use of personal and community resources.
• Assist in developing formal and informal community support.
• Advocate for persons with behavioral health problems to protect rights and reduce stigma.
• Work with other providers, family members or significant others in the recovery plan.
• Attend staff meetings, case conferences and supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality and understand patients' rights policy.
• Participate in staff training and development and serve on committees.
• Observe the Housing Manual guidelines.

Service provision will focus on working with patients to enhance their recovery.
