Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to join our Forensic PATH and HARPS teams in Spokane. You will provide peer counseling, connect clients with resources, and support recovery within a multidisciplinary framework.

Responsibilities include assisting in treatment planning, promoting resilience, and mentoring clients through transitions to community-based care, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support Specialist or Trainee credential is required or preferred depending on role.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; driver’s license may be required for field work.
• Strong communication and empathy skills essential for client-centered peer support.

Responsibilities

• Assist multi-disciplinary team in developing treatment objectives and interventions.
• Provide peer counseling and support to clients, families, and caregivers.
• Promote recovery and resilience by helping clients identify strengths and goals.
• Mentor clients to build self-advocacy, navigate health systems, and find meaningful activities.
• Engage with clients before discharge and support transition to community.
• Maintain confidential client records in accordance with agency policies.
