Job summary

DeCoach Recovery Centre in Dayton, OH seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to join our Mobile Crisis Team. You will provide peer-based support to adults in crisis under clinical supervision, helping them access services and begin pathways to recovery.

You will work with the Treatment Team to deliver individualized care per each client’s plan, including individual, family and group support, plus follow-up activities. Strong documentation and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred).
• Active Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
• Competence in peer support services.
• Working knowledge of substance use and current therapeutic methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services to adults under clinical supervision.
• Deliver services in each client’s treatment plan, including individual, family and group support.
• Collaborate with management to review services and suggest improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow DeCoach policies.

What You’ll Do

• Support clients through crisis and beyond: Provide peer support services to adults under clinical supervision, meeting quality and productivity standards that reflect our mission, vision, and values
• Deliver individualized care: Provide the services outlined in each client’s Individual Treatment Plan, as determined by the Treatment Team, including individual, family, and group support, community activities, facility visits, vocational training, and follow-up care
• Help us get better: Partner with administrative and team managers to review our services, assess needs, and recommend improvements
• Keep it documented: Follow correct documentation procedures and stay current on DeCoach policies and procedures

What You Bring
