Job summary

PeerStar is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPS) to help individuals overcome mental health obstacles using lived experience. You’ll provide hope, understanding, and empowerment through 1:1 peer support, forging lasting friendships.

We sponsor your class for certification and offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus ($2,000 if already certified). Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience in the recovery process from mental health disorders and/or substance use.
• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Have completed a peer specialist certification training curriculum approved by Pennsylvania

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of and experience in the recovery process from mental health disorders and/or substance use.
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (preferred)
• Have completed a peer specialist certification training curriculum approved by the state of Pennsylvania
• Criminal History Clearances- PA State Police Clearance, Child Abuse, FBI
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish in verbal and written formats.
