Job summary

A mental health support organization is looking for a passionate Peer Support Specialist to provide community-based support in Pennsylvania. You will inspire hope and empowerment through shared experiences while helping others conquer their mental health challenges. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a peer specialist certification. This role offers flexible part-time or full-time hours across various locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisting individuals with mental health challenges.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of a peer specialist certification training approved by Pennsylvania.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of and experience in the recovery process from having a mental health diagnosis and having reached a point in your recovery pathway where you can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older
• Have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (preferred)
• Has completed a peer specialist certification training curriculum approved by the state Of Pennsylvania
• Criminal History Clearances – PA State Police Clearance, Child Abuse, FBI
