Job summary

SeaView Community Services in Seward, Alaska seeks a Peer Support Specialist for our Recovery Center. You will provide mentorship to individuals in treatment for substance use and mental health challenges, drawing on your lived experience to empower others on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Must have lived experience with substance use recovery.
• Ability to share your recovery journey in a professional and supportive way.
• Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Driver's License.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Peer Support Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must be able to pass a background check and meet state/federal requirements.
