Job summary

Community Partners NH is seeking a Peer Specialist to join our ACT Team, helping adults with severe mental illness on their recovery journey. You will draw on lived experience and training to build supportive relationships, develop Wellness Action Plans, and connect clients with community resources.

Evening and weekend availability may be required to assist clients in crisis. A High School Diploma or GED, plus a valid driver's license and strong communication skills, are essential.

Qualifications

  • Lived experience with mental illness and recovery or prior work in peer support.
  • Intentional Peer Support Training and WRAP Training is preferred but not required.
  • Strong oral and written communication and reliable documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support adults with severe mental illness on their recovery journey.
  • Develop Wellness Action Plans and connect clients with community resources.
  • Advocate for peers, facilitate open dialogue, and ensure timely documentation.
  • Evening and weekend availability may be required to assist clients in crisis.

The Role

Join our ACT Team as a Peer Specialist, supporting adults with severe mental illness on their journey to recovery. Utilizing both personal experience and formal training, you'll foster supportive relationships, aid in developing Wellness Action Plans, and connect individuals with community resources. Your role involves advocating for peers, facilitating open dialogue, and ensuring timely documentation. Evening and weekend availability may be required to assist clients in crisis. If you're passionate about empowering others and promoting resilience.

What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Lived experience of mental illness and recovery and/or has worked in a Peer Support Center
  • Intentional Peer Support Training and WRAP Training is preferred but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job
  • Hold a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability coverage.
