Job summary

The candidate will document services in CareLogic, collaborate with clinicians, and help connect clients to community resources. A compassionate, reliable self-starter with strong communication is ideal.

Job description

Seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery support services to clients receiving behavioral health treatment at North Community Counseling Centers. The ideal candidate will use their lived experience to provide hope, encouragement, and support while helping clients achieve their recovery goals. This candidate will be compassionate, dependable, and able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

The position is responsible for providing peer support services, assisting clients with developing coping skills and recovery strategies, connecting clients with community resources, supporting treatment goals, and documenting services in the Electronic Medical Record (CareLogic).

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, maintain professional boundaries, and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience working in behavioral health or community mental health is preferred.

Responsibilities

Full-time or Part-time

Wage: $18.26 - $20.00 hourly depending on experience

Previous experience in behavioral health, community mental health, peer support, or human services preferred. Experience working with individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders is a plus. Lived experience with mental health recovery required.
