Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group in City of Industry is seeking a Certificated Peer Support Counselor Bilingual. This role uses lived experience to provide outreach, engagement, and direct services to program clients across ages, supporting recovery and meaningful life roles.

Responsibilities include education, advocacy, and companionship; a pathway to professional growth with on-the-job training and paid CEU opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Personal experience as a consumer in child welfare, probation, or mental health systems.
• One year of full-time experience in consumer-directed services preferred.
• Peer Support Specialist Certification preferred and deadline within 1 year of employment.
• Valid California Driver's License and First Aid certification.

Peer Support Counselors are people who have lived experience in the mental health, judicial, and/or social service systems in some capacity. They serve as role models, companions, educators, and advocates to our clients.
