Freeman Health System in Missouri is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to provide supportive rehabilitation and recovery services to individuals learning to manage mental illness and substance use recovery. The Ozark Center is a key regional provider of behavioral health services within the Freeman Health System.
You will train and coach clients in social and daily living skills, accompany them to appointments, help access public services, and support the creation of Wellness and Recovery
The Certified Peer Specialist is responsible for providing supportive rehabilitation and recovery support services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health issues who are learning to manage aspects of their mental illness/substance abuse recovery.
Certified Peer Specialist shall report to and perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Crisis Services. Performs specified administrative tasks as determined by the Assistant Director of Crisis Services and/or Director of Crisis Services.
