SAGE Counseling's Peer Recovery Support Specialist(PRSS) uses their personal lived experience in recovery and/or criminal justice involvement to support individuals transitioning through behavioral health and reentry services. This role provides hope, advocacy, mentorship, and guidance to SAGE clients navigating both the justice system and treatment. The PRSS works one-on-one and in group settings to foster engagement, promote recovery, and connect clients with essential community and treatment resources. This position holds a caseload of approximately 50 clients, primarily referred to by justice-involved pathways, including outpatient and transition programs.
Peer Recovery Support Specialists work primarily in SAGE offices, but may have the opportunity to work remotely; majority of schedule will be in-person meetings with clients and require some travel across Maricopa County to SAGE clinics and sites.
Since position requires frequent driving to SAGE offices to provide services, a valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and clean driving record are required.
21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
Equipment needed to provide services are issued by SAGE.
