Alliance Healthcare Services in Memphis, TN is seeking a Peer Specialist to assist with the operation of the Center's peer support programs and consumer activities. You will support planning and implementation of recovery activities and provide educational opportunities through peer programs.

The role requires High School Diploma or GED, willingness to obtain first aid/ CPR/ CPI and Peer Counselor Training, and intent to pursue Peer Specialist Certification.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required; GED program acceptable if enrolled.
• Willing to obtain first aid, CPR, CPI, and Peer Counselor Training.
• Willing to obtain Peer Specialist Certification.
• Strong self-motivation, communication, and ability to work well with others.

Aufgaben

• Participate in development of consumer recovery activities.
• Maintain records and required reports per Center and State requirements.
• Obtain training in peer counseling and provide peer counseling to consumers.
• Obtain other trainings in recovery programs (WRAP/Bridges) for certification as a Peer Specialist.
• Provide peer counseling and support during mental health crises face-to-face and by phone to reduce distress.
• Introduce clients to WRAP in Respite and CSU settings to aid recovery.
• Link and refer to peer run centers and community support groups.
• Assist in discharge planning and follow-up to encourage ongoing care.
• Participate in clinical staffing with Center staff.
• Perform other duties as requested.
