Responsibilities

The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Peer Recovery Specialist will participate as a member of the Early Intervention and Support Services team. Specifically, the SUD Peer Recovery Specialist will focus on the co-occurring population, providing education and support to assist individuals towards their recovery.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Person must have lived experience related to a mental health or substance use concern as well as be able to identify steps that have advanced his/her own successful recovery. 2. Person must have one of the following: a. Paid work experience in a mental health or substance use disorder setting; b. Volunteer experience in a mental health or substance use disorder setting;c. A completed or in process of completion “Peer Recovery Specialist Certification”. 3. A NJ Driver’s License with capacity to drive a hospital vehicle is preferred for this position, but it is not a requirement

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $19.00 to $27.52. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
