Job summary

Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist to support our Hep C Elimination Program in Delaware. You will re‑engage individuals, provide outreach, and connect clients with clinical staff to sustain recovery.

This role emphasizes community education, prevention outreach, and collaboration with referral sources. Travel statewide, maintain a recovery‑focused caseload, and support discharge planning and aftercare for people in recovery.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver’s license with 2 points or less is required.
  • Own vehicle available for use – statewide travel required.
  • Must identify as a peer; the candidate must be in recovery from addiction to drugs, alcohol, or mental health.
  • Minimum of 2 years in recovery is required.
  • 1–3 years of experience working with people in recovery is required.
  • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) preferred; if not certified, certification is required within the first year of employment.

Brandywine Counseling & Community Services (BCCS) is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to support our Hep C Elimination Program. This role is ideal for someone passionate about recovery, community outreach, and helping individuals overcome barriers to care.

BCCS is a community organization that prides itself on helping members of our community recover with dignity. We enhance the quality of life by creatively providing Education, Advocacy, Prevention, Early Intervention, and Treatment Services. We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple diagnoses, and their related challenges.

What You’ll Do as a Peer Recovery Specialist

Schedule
  • Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Pay
  • Starting at $18/hour, commensurate based on experience, education, and certification.
The Compensation Package for This Position Includes
  • Group medical, dental and vision coverage with low employee costs.
