Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Peer Recovery Partner to provide one-on-one peer support in the community and at clients’ homes, with the option to facilitate group sessions. The role focuses on connecting individuals to wellness and recovery opportunities within their communities.

Candidates should have some college coursework, CIPSS or Recovery Coach training, and a valid driver’s license. Prior peer support experience is preferred; computer proficiency is required.

  • Certification: CIPSS or Recovery Coach training may be required; provisional CIPSS within 9 months if CIPSS is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and vehicle available for work as required.

  • Facilitate groups and help clients connect to wellness and recovery opportunities in their communities.

Job description

Summary:
The Peer Recovery Partner role provides one-on-one support to people in the community, at their homes and/or at the location where the peer works. This role will also provide group facilitation and support people in connecting to wellness/recovery opportunities in their communities.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Some college coursework preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Completion of, or ability to complete relevant training to the position required. This may be the State of Maine Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) Certification. Provisional CIPSS Certification may be required within 9 months of start date. If CIPSS is required, the ability to maintain certification is required. Recovery Coach training may also be required upon hire or within 9 months of start date. Valid Driver’s License and vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy required.
  • Experience: Experience providing one-on-one and/or group facilitation peer support preferred.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Is receiving or has received services and/or supports related a history of substance use, is in active recovery and is willing to self-identify on this basis with peers and in the community. Computer proficiency required.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
