ACMH in The Bronx, NY is seeking a Peer Program Specialist (Scattered Site) to provide direct in-home services and training in daily living skills. The role reports to the Program Director and involves coordinating with the treatment team to support recovery goals.
The position offers part-time hourly compensation: $23.65/hour for certified and $23.40/hour for non-certified, with schedule on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Commitment to equity and outreach is emphasized.
Lived experience as a consumer of mental health, substance use, and/or homeless services is required

Reports to: Program Director
Function: Provides direct service to clients in their homes, assisting with training in skills of daily living.
Location: The Bronx (Mount Hope)
Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays (8:00am-4:00pm) or (9:00am-5:00pm)
Lived experience receiving mental health services such as past or current participant of behavioral health, substance or homeless services; commitment to assist others in attaining their mental health recovery goals in part through sharing own personal lived experiences. Completion of or on track to receive New York Certified Peer Program (NYCPS) certification preferred. High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Basic computer and data entry skills.
