Job description

  • Coordinate and lead training and facilitation for the Peer Leadership Fellows Wellness Cohort
  • Conduct bi-weekly Fellow check-ins for support, mentorship, planning, and evaluation
  • Support Fellows' program planning and completion of deliverables
  • Communicate with Fellows, families, and community partners
  • Schedule and administer make-up opportunities
  • Facilitate relationship-building within the Wellness Cohort and with the Engagement Cohort
  • Coordinate PLF training seminars, gatherings, schedules, and communal programming
  • Update curriculum with the Assistant Director of Teen Engagement
  • Secure and coordinate meeting spaces
  • Coordinate weekly communications to Fellows by email, social media, and group text
  • Maintain records of Fellows' work, attendance, and feedback
  • Manage spring recruitment, applications, and interviews
  • Provide monthly strategic updates on programming and data collection
  • Administer content calendars and share Fellows' work and programming across web, blog, social, and partner channels
  • Provide #MeetTheFellowsMonday content
  • Manage Fellows' blog posts and content for JewishBostonTeens.com
  • Photograph cohort programming and members for the JCC photo library and social channels
  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with community teen-serving colleagues
  • Identify opportunities for connection and synergy with the Peer Engagement cohort
  • Meet quarterly with the Director of Teen Programs for reflection and evaluation
  • Meet monthly with the PLF team
  • Participate in CJP Teen Education and Engagement Network programming, BeWell Resiliency Roundtable, and relevant professional development
  • Create a welcoming environment and support JCC Greater Boston's mission, values, goals, and initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required; education, psychology, social work, Jewish studies, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of proven experience working with teens or in mental health education
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the minimum hiring criteria at JCC's discretion
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with teens' needs
  • Creative ability to translate ideas, feedback, and data into innovative, meaningful experiences
  • Record of designing programs integrating Jewish values into compelling, joyful experiences
  • Outstanding project management skills from design through implementation
  • Ability to manage deadlines with attention to detail and maintain high quality standards
