Job summary

New Freedom OPS LLC in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Peer Coach – Guidance & Advocacy to mentor members, provide recovery-focused support, and help navigate services within our residential program. As part of the role, you’ll conduct orientations, assist housing placements, coordinate with clinical and support teams, and foster a welcoming environment for members.

The position requires a PRSS certification, a BHT designation, a high school diploma, and at least one year of peer support experience;

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Peer and Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Certification required.
• Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) designation required.
• Minimum one year of peer support, behavioral health, recovery services, reentry services, or related experience (preferably 2+ years).
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
• Lived recovery experience preferred.
• Experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, substance use treatment, corrections, or reentry programs preferred.
• Experience conducting orientations, mentoring, coaching, or facilitating groups preferred.

• Serving as a positive role model by demonstrating healthy coping skills and recovery principles. Conducting facility tours and supporting new member orientation and engagement.

• Supporting the Freedom Guide Program and developing member leadership opportunities.
• Collaborating with clinical, admissions, facilities, housekeeping, and support teams to promote member success.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting program operations and member services.

The Peer Coach – Guidance & Advocacy serves as a recovery-focused mentor, member advocate, and program support professional responsible for helping members successfully navigate their New Freedom journey. This role provides peer support, member orientation, housing coordination, program guidance, and recovery-focused mentorship while helping create a welcoming, supportive, and engaging environment for members
