Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks a Nursing leader for the Pediatric Medical/Surgical Unit (DCT 4A) to guide clinical operations and patient care excellence.

You will supervise staff 24/7, partner with medical directors and interdisciplinary teams, drive quality initiatives and staff development, and advocate for patients and families.

A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required; a Master’s degree is preferred; NC RN licensure and BCLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience is required.
• Current or compact RN licensure in the State of North Carolina is required.
• BCLS certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Serve as clinical and operational leader for the Pediatric Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Manage and supervise functions of the assigned patient care area on a 24-hour basis.
• Participate in clinical area strategic and operational planning; support a professional practice model and staff development.
• Interface with patients and families, ensure nursing process from admission through discharge and beyond.
• Oversee quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and resource management.
