Qualifications

• Minimum one to two years of recent RN Pediatics experience required.
• BSN or MSN or DNP graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois; out-of-state licenses not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and updates the patient’s plan of care based on ongoing assessment.
• Collaborates with health care team to promote effective patient care.
• Verifies and implements orders from physicians and documents in the EMR.
• Engages patient and family to develop an appropriate educational plan.
• Demonstrates safe clinical judgment and prioritizes patient needs.
• Serves as a preceptor or resource to staff and students.
