Job Description

This FQHC seeks a full-time Clinical Physician primarily based at their Main Clinic. Under administrative direction, independently perform physical exams for a broad patient age range (pediatric to geriatric), diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and disorders, and select appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions, including prescribing medication, administering vaccines, and ordering diagnostic tests.
  • Obtain medical history from patients, parents, or guardians, and review developmental and medical histories.
  • Participate in diagnostic staffing to correlate findings, determine diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
  • Discuss findings and recommendations with patients, families, and agencies as needed.
  • Manage medications, including prescriptions, efficacy monitoring, and adverse reaction surveillance.
  • Perform related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine degree from an ACGME-accredited medical college.
  • Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Med-Peds.
  • Unrestricted Illinois medical license or eligibility.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
