As a pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the health and well-being of the community's youngest members. Well baby nursery rounding is a requirement for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Well Baby Nursery Rounding
  • Conducting thorough medical examinations, including growth and development assessments, to diagnose and treat various pediatric conditions.
  • Providing preventive care, vaccinations, and immunizations to promote overall health and prevent illnesses.
  • Evaluating and managing acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections in pediatric patients.
  • Developing personalized treatment plans and monitoring patients' progress over time, adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Educating parents and caretakers on child health, nutrition, safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Conducting screenings for developmental delays, behavioral issues, and mental health concerns, and providing appropriate referrals and interventions.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.Staying informed about the latest medical advancements, evidence-based practices, and pediatric research. Adhering to ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in pediatrics.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of California.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric diseases, treatments, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, parents, and healthcare team members.
  • Empathy and patience when working with children and their families.
  • Attention to detail and ability to make accurate diagnoses based on comprehensive evaluations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine.

Pay Range

$120.19 - $127.47 /hour
