Pediatrician Opportunity: Othello, WA - Located 60 miles from Yakima; 150 miles from Seattle

- Seeking a Pediatrician in the Othello / Mattawa, WA area
- Pediatricians are responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Pediatricians promote wellness and educate about the prevention of illness and health promotion.
- Pediatricians perform physical examinations and developmental assessments, manage pediatric illness, and help families meet their health needs.
- The Pediatrician will undertake hospital-based duties as required for the care of Clinic patients.
- Provide primary, acute, and chronic patient care (including emergency care) at an Association-operated Community Health Center, and/or outpatient or inpatient medical care at a hospital.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with patients, treating each equally regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or socioeconomic status.
- Perform clinic healthcare duties for an agreed-upon number of hours per week, with hours determined mutually between the Physician and the Executive Director, maintaining flexibility for hospital duties, education, and patient needs.
- Maintain full active hospital privileges at the hospital.
- Provide call coverage and inpatient care at Community Hospital on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, coordinated with schedule and approved by the Medical Director.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all clinical activities in accordance with medical records protocol.
- Meet all continuing medical education requirements, with prior approval for scheduling.
- Participate in the Association’s Quality Assurance Peer Review Program.
- Attend staff conferences and medical meetings.
- Be available for consultation with other healthcare providers and the Board of Directors, discussing administrative and medical matters with the Chief Medical Officer as needed.
- Devote entire time to the practice, including administrative duties as required.

- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and visual acuity requirements.
- Travel: Frequent travel to clinic sites, valid driver’s license required.
