Responsibilities:
- Manage ambulatory pediatric primary care by eliciting patient histories, performing physical exams, providing accurate diagnoses, prescribing evidence-based treatments, and patient education
- Meet productivity standards, averaging at least 2.7 patient visits per hour of ambulatory time
- Promote patient satisfaction by considering environmental, social, and cultural factors affecting health
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including chart documentation, peer reviews, and special projects
- Practice evidence-based, cost-effective primary care in a team-based setting
- Make appropriate diagnoses, prescriptions, and referrals per medical guidelines
- Develop and implement age-specific preventative health schedules for pediatric patients
- Build and maintain a pediatric practice with follow-ups and referrals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain clinical competency through regular CME and document participation
- Participate in newborn nursery coverage at partner hospitals as assigned
- Respond to call duties as assigned
- Contribute to staff education and training as needed
