Pediatrician MD / DO Physician, Chicago, IL
The role involves providing comprehensive pediatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care, within the scope of the provider's training and licensing. Responsibilities include outpatient clinical care, inpatient pediatric care, teaching and mentoring residents, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. The provider must maintain patient records using an electronic medical record system and adhere to safety, risk management, and quality standards.
This role requires physical mobility within clinical sites and occasional shift coverage. The provider should demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and safety.
Electronic Medical Record - Athena. All patient EMR encounters must be closed within 72 business hours.
Malpractice insurance is provided at NO cost to the provider. This is an occurrence policy with NO tail required.
403(b) plan with salary deferral, match, and profit-sharing; 401(k) with discretionary match of 0.25% up to 4%; profit sharing of 2% after three years of employment (fully vested). The plan is managed by Empower with 35 investment options and financial planning services via Pinnacle Planning Group.
$3,000 plus 5 days annually for all medical and dental providers.
Totaling 44 days per year starting December 1, 2024, including 27 days accrued, 1 floater, 3 personal days, and 8 paid holidays. PTO can be carried over into the following year.
Providers are scheduled for 8.5 patient sessions per week and 1.5 administrative sessions. Patients are scheduled every 15 minutes, with 24-26 patients per day.
Care for children up to age 19, supported by two medical assistants per provider. Teaching sessions for Family Medicine Residents occur twice weekly for 2nd and 3rd-year residents. Providers work one evening per week, from 11:30 am to 8 pm, and one Saturday every four weeks, from 9 am to 2 pm, with a day off during the week.
Quality Incentive Program available, paid in the first quarter for the previous year's performance.
